Rates & insurance, without the runaround
We're accepting new clients, we accept most major insurance plans — including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum — and we offer affordable self-pay rates when insurance isn't the right fit. Cost shouldn't be the reason you don't get support.

Your insurance, explained in plain English
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Texas's largest insurer — PPO & HMO plans, what changes between them, and what to ask.
Using BCBS benefits →Aetna
Copays, deductibles — and the EAP sessions many members don't know they have.
Using Aetna benefits →Cigna
Why your therapy benefits say “Evernorth” — and how to check them in minutes.
Using Cigna benefits →UnitedHealthcare / Optum
Two names, one plan: where UHC hides your mental-health benefits and how to use them.
Using UHC benefits →Have a different plan? Most major insurance accepted means exactly that — call (972) 885-1222 and we'll check yours together.
Three steps, no surprises
We talk coverage & fit
We'll answer your questions about insurance, rates, scheduling, and which therapist fits what you're looking for — and walk you through how billing works up front.
Book your first session
Same-week openings are usually available, with evening and virtual options. Free parking at our Carrollton office.
Superbills: keep your benefits even out-of-network
If your plan or your therapist ends up out-of-network, you don't lose your benefits. We provide a superbill — a detailed, itemized receipt of your sessions — that you submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Reimbursement depends on your specific policy (that's one of the five questions worth asking your insurer: “What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?”). Many PPO plans reimburse a meaningful share of each session after an out-of-network deductible.
We'll walk you through exactly how payment and billing work before your first session — no surprises.
Prefer not to use insurance — or don't have it?
Our self-pay sessions are available at a range of rates — call (972) 885-1222 and we'll find one that fits. We're committed to making sure cost isn't the reason you don't get support.
Your right to a “Good Faith Estimate”
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Questions we hear a lot
How much does therapy cost without insurance?
Our self-pay sessions are available at a range of rates — call (972) 885-1222 and we'll find one that fits. You also have a legal right to a written Good Faith Estimate of costs before you start (details below).
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most major plans — Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum are the ones we're asked about most (each has its own guide above). Coverage varies plan to plan, so the quickest path is a five-minute call with us.
What's a superbill and how does it work?
A superbill is a detailed, itemized receipt of your sessions. If your plan or therapist is out-of-network, you submit it to your insurance company for possible reimbursement — how much comes back depends on your specific policy. We'll show you exactly how it works before you start.
Does insurance cover couples counseling?
Insurers typically cover therapy that treats a diagnosed condition; couples counseling on its own often doesn't qualify. Many couples use our self-pay rates or superbills instead — and our couples intensives are a popular self-pay option.
Do virtual sessions cost the same?
Telehealth is covered on most major plans these days, often at the same cost as in-person. We offer secure video sessions across Texas — confirm your plan's telehealth benefit with the five-question checklist on any payer guide above.
